dirt on sensor - 2

This is a follow up to yesterdays photograph of the starlings in the evening light in Shrewsbury. At different optical zoom level the dark patch seems smaller. I am not sure this should be the case if it is dust on the sensor ... but I have carefully cleaned the lens and still have the problem.

I fear an expensive trip to the camera shop coming on ...
